PowerBus IC

Domosys sells several ICs that are powerful single-chip solutions for developing complete PowerBus RHINO devices. Each IC is based on a RISC 8051 microcontroller (8x faster than a standard 8051) operating at 30 MHz from –40°C to 85°C. They contain 64 KB of flash memory, 6 KB of RAM, a versatile PHY supporting multiple media (AC, DC, and TP), and are available in 48 and 80 pin LQFP packages.

The PowerBus RHINO protocol stack is embedded in the flash memory, and can be upgraded via UART, SPI, or the medium. Every chip has a unique, worldwide MAC address useful for addressing PowerBus nodes over the Internet, as well as several unique IDs.

Medium Interface Card (MIC)

Medium Interface Card Analog front end regulating the amplitude and filtering the signal to respect, FCC (USA), CENELEC (Europe and Asia) and ICES-006 (CANADA) and filtering the reception signal.

Small Parts Kit

The PowerBus Small Parts Kit
includes external components that are harder to get in small quantities, a 30MHz crystal, a coupling transformer, a metalized capacitance also used in the coupling circuit and a reset chip.

These kits can be ordered separately with small quantities of PowerBus ICs in order to reduce the time to market.

Coupling Transformer

Domosys provides a competitively priced Power Line Low Voltage Coupling Transformer. This Coupling Transformer can be purchased in large and small volumes.
