Domosys Corporation releases a cutting edge command and control power line communication technology

Domosys Corporation, a leading provider of Command and Control (C&C) power line communication (PLC) technology, proudly announces the release of its new PowerBus™ RHINO Technology, part of Domosys' PowerBus™ Protocol family. The RHINO Technology uses a vanguard technique on PLC signalling bringing never-seen before levels of communication reliability. This new RHINO Technology is the fruit of Domosys past 13 years of PLC experience. The RHINO Technology R&D effort was initiated in 2004 and based on a completely new fundamental approach as described by Steve Baril, Core Technology Manager, "We decided to stay away from the traditional methodology of selecting the cleanest frequency band, adding up forward error correction and generating the strongest allowed signal. Instead, we did what most people thought impossible: we characterized the PLC environment as well as the devices known to impede communications. Then we tailored new innovative PLC signalling techniques to excel under these various harsh conditions". Indeed, the company developed very sophisticated tools and visited multiple countries around the world characterizing various sites and devices known to generate harsh PLC conditions. During the RHINO Technology development phase the focus was entirely on performance without any compromise. The result is a PLC technology out performing existing C&C PLC technologies, providing a reliable communications in residential and commercial environments while complying with the restrictive international conducted emission regulations: FCC (USA), CENELEC (Europe and Asia) and ICES-006 (CANADA). The RHINO Technology was extensively tested in a state-of-the-art PLC laboratory, as well as in famous sites known to cause troubles to power line communications and just like a rhinoceros, the RHINO Technology has proven to be unstoppable everywhere. The RHINO Technology is available in two topologies: Master Slave and Pass-Through, the later is well suited for existing serial applications removing the need and substantial cost to run new wires. The RHINO Master Slave Topology (RMST) offers Plug & Play functionality, taking away the need for installation tools or complex configuration programming. Under normal operating condition, the RMST network discovery and management process is handled automatically by the RHINO Protocol. The technology also offers an advanced type of MESH networking service in all RHINO enabled products. Just like the Internet network, by increasing the number of RHINO enabled products on a power line network, you are increasing its robustness and reliability. The RHINO Technology supports many other services that will enable you to reliably command and control your products in a robust fashion. Domosys' unique power line upgrade service (PLUP™) is yet another example of it, there again providing an easier route for future enhancement.
