LodgeView selects PowerBus™ Technology for its new advanced hospitality entertainment system

Quebec City, Canada - May 6, 2003 - LodgeView Entertainment Inc. has chosen PowerBus as its control networking platform for its new in-room entertainment system. This allows LodgeView to offer a video on-demand system to hotels that can be cost-effectively installed in retrofit situations by using the existing wiring in the building.

The development of this advanced system was made possible by combining the experience of LodgeView in pay-per-view systems and the expertise of Domosys in control networking. The system can be used for offering in-room video on-demand to guests, as well as other services such as messages and advertising.

Mr. Pierre Sinclaire, President of LodgeView Entertainment Inc, explains, "LodgeView chose PowerBus after a careful evaluation of available control networking solutions. This technology greatly simplifies our installations and is so stable our installers never to have to go back to sites. This makes the LodgeView Entertainment system superior relative to its peers."

The customer uses the LodgeView IR/RF remote control to select movies and other services via the addressable wall box. The wall box then communicates two-way with the digital video central server using PowerBus Technology. When services are purchased, the LodgeView system connects to the hotel's Property Management System for billing purposes. In an effort to provide the best possible service, LodgeView can also remotely monitor and manage the system. Automatic notifications can be sent to LodgeView each time the system is accessed. To date, the system has been installed in over a dozen properties in North America and feedback has been very positive.
